MONDAY: My Interview With Maggie Wolfendale

Thanks to Moran photography for allowing me to "borrow" this image of Maggie Wolfendale.

At the risk of drawing your ire, I shall start my Monday links column with a piece written by my favorite internet-based horse racing analyst, a man whose prose is known across the web for being as jarring to the ear as it is good for the soul. I am referring, of course, to me.

But seriously folks, this is an interview I did with Maggie Wolfendale for The Horseplayer Magaizine that I am very proud of. Check it out by clicking on her name.

If you live in Brooklyn, you’ve been here.

Mike MacAdam gets it right.

So does Steven Crist, in case you missed it.

The anatomy of Pick Six score.

Colin, me, and DVP: doing our thing at the Spa

BANKROLL PLAY OF THE DAY:

Race 1: $25 to win and place on #6 GOLDEN CAUSEWAY

An odd situation today as the most interesting race of the day is also the curtain jerker (I presume this was a weather prognostication related decision). I could go a few ways in here, but will defer to the team of Graham Motion and Ramon Dominguez in here, and not just because they’ve been good to the blog. When GC ran his first race ever, last July at Presque Isle, I wrote, “Nice looking. Maybe one for the stretchout at SAR?” Well, it took 13 months, but here he is, on the stretchout at SAR. I know it’s a tough race, but I can’t just ignore myself, can I?

MEET TO DATE RESULTS: +654.50 (lost $50 yesterday when much-the-best Trappe Shot. . .ah, don’t get me started, I suppose we were due a beat like that).
